NAPPP membership is restricted to licensed, doctoral level psychologists who provide healthcare related services. Retired psychologists, and students also are eligible for membership.

NAPPP Releases White Paper To Confront Medical Practice
NAPPP has released a 117 page document against using medications as a first-line treatment for behavioral disorders. The report details the lack of science behind using medications as first-line treatments and their misuse by physicians when treating behavioral disorders. This report is the foundation document that will be used in the NAPPP public awareness campaign to inform the public about doctoral level psychological practice. NAPPP Launches National Public Awareness Campaign For Practice
NAPPP has hired a group of media and strategy consultants to launch a major national campaign to educate the public about doctoral level psychological practice. While many issues will be addressed in the campaign, NAPPP will focus on psychotherapy as a first line treatment for behavioral disorders and the importance of being treated and evaluated by a doctoral level psychologist before being prescribed a psychotropic medication.
